Waterbom | Architecture

Under Construction

Waterbom’s latest waterslide tower will feature four brand new slides and a cantilevered look out spot at 14 meter above the ground of the entire park. The design of the tower was intended to appear unified with the slides, by creating a circular staircase that is intertwined in between the slides, the structure and the tress. In doing so the tower appears less intrusive by becoming part of the slides and landscape. The main design intent here was to create an experience of moving in a circular direction as you would when you are inside the waterslides. The experience designed going up the tower then becomes a sensory climb through nature where guest are able to get a completely different perspectives of the park while winding around the slides.
